Beyoncé - 4 (Deluxe Edition) [iTunes Version]
It’s official Beyonce’s 4th album collectively titled “4” has finally hit shelves worldwide yesterday; the standard set which includes 12-tracks while the deluxe complete with and extra CD adds another six, has definitely got to be Beyonce’s best release yet.
For those who know me well, I’ve not always had the best things to say when it comes to Beyonce but I always freign to make sure my comments stay honest, critical, and not shade-like, however this time round I can seriously say not a single negative word comes to mind, yes…Run The World came out and I wasn’t too impressed with direction, it felt like a step back or at least a stand-still compared to a step forward, but everything since then has been so over my expectations that it truly makes up for that.
Slick-performances, rawer-vocals, sleek-styling, fashionesque-imagery, Beyonce seems to have really come full circle with this LP, truly I’ve not been this excited with what she’s gonna deliver since the Dangerously in Love era.
I honestly hope she get recognised for the work she’s put into this LP, for a while now I’ve been dying for Beyonce to release music which shows growing and maturing as an artist as opposed to relying on girl’s power-anthems which we know she can deliever, but I can safely say this album’s it. Too many time’s when artist’s do there greatest work they don’t get the correct recognition for it, yet get commended for things which to some of us comes across as trivial and pales in comparision to what we consider to be the best, so I really hope she get’s a great response from all this time round, and doesn’t get compared to what other chart-toppers are doing.
